Day 01- Kolkata – Kathmandu
Arrive at the Kathmandu Airport, complete customs and immigration formalities you will be met by our Guide and get transfer to Kathmandu Hotel. On arrival check in to the hotel. Evening free at leisure. Dinner at Hotel. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Day 02- Kathmandu sightseeing
Kathmandu, the capital and largest city in Nepal.After Breakfast, Proceed for sightseeing with our expert guide. Sightseeing Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath, Swoyambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square.
Pashupatinath: Pashupatinath Temple is the oldest Hindu temple in Kathmandu. It is not known for certain when Pashupatinath Temple was built. But according to Nepal Mahatmaya and Himvatkhanda, the deity here gained great fame there as Pashupati, the Lord of all Pashus, which are living as well as non-living beings.
Bouddhanath: The Bodhanath Stupa, just outside of Kathmandu, is one of the largest stupas of its kind in the world, and dates to sometime around the 6th century, possibly even earlier. Like Bhaktapur, it lies on the old trade route to Tibet and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The stupa sustained minor damage during the 2015 earthquake but is otherwise in good condition. Swoyambhunath: It is situated in the west of Kathmandu city on the top of the hill. The huge Stupa is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Nepal and is listed as a world heritage site.
Kathmandu Durbar Square: Visit two of the cities most well-known attractions. Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage site, showcases spectacular architecture and the skills of the Newar artists and craftsmen over several centuries. Swayambhunath Temple is the oldest Buddhist shrine and is the best place to observe religious harmony between Nepalese Buddhists and Hindus. The stupa is atop a hill, and requires considerable walk but from here, you will see beautiful views of Kathmandu Valley. Dinner and Overnight Stay at Hotel
Day 03- Kathmandu to Pokhara
After breakfast check out from the Hotel and proceed on a scenic drive to Pokhara. On arrival proceed to sightseeing of Pokhara city (Gupteswar Mahadev, David’s Fall, Barahi temple and Fewa Lake).
Gupteswar Mahadev: Located close to Devis Falls on the other side of the World Peace Stupa in Pokhara the Gupteswar Mahadev cave is Nepal’s most famous cave. It’s also rumored to be the longest cave in Nepal (2950 meters).The cave has got both the narrow and wide spaces inside it. One can have an astonishing view of Devi s fall from inside the cave except in rainy seasons. The cave is provided with artificial lighting systems. The cave is also an important religious site for Hindus.
Devi’s Fall: Locally known as Patale Chhango which means underground falls, Devi’s Fall is a popular landmark in Pokhara in Kaski District, Nepal. The water forms a tunnel after reaching the bottom. This tunnel is approximately 500 feet long and runs 100 feet below ground level.
It is an awesome waterfall and you can’t stop yourself saying WOW. Devi s fall plunges into a cave and disappears into the earth. In the monsoon, the sight is most spectacular. Legend has on 31 July 1961, a Swiss couple went swimming but the woman drowned in a pit because of the overflow. Her body was recovered 3 days later in river Phusre with great effort. Her father wished to name it “David’s falls” after her but changed to Devi’s Fall. (Lunch at Hotel)
Barahi Temple: Barahi Temple, also known as Lake Temple is a two-story pagoda temple located in the Kaski District of the Gandaki Zone in western Nepal. It is a hindu temple of the Goddess Durga (Barahi), the protector of gods. It is located in a small island on the south east section of Phewa Lake in Pokhara. The temple is used for worship by Hindus.
Devotees can be seen carrying male animals across the lake for sacrifice, especially on Saturdays. Set in stunning surroundings, many find Barahi Temple a peaceful place to relax as one can enjoy the green forest scenery just beyond the south end of the lake, full-scale scenery of the lake and amazing reflection of the Annapurna and Fishtail Mountains on the surface of the lake.
Phewa Lake: Phewa Lake is the second largest lake in Nepal. It is a semi-natural freshwater lake enveloped by rani ban or queen’s forest and stunning reflection of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges in the clear lake waters. It is also a perfect place to experience the ever so glorious Himalayan sunrises.Baidam or lakeside of Pokhara on the eastern part has some amazing lodges, restaurants, cafes and bookshops. The densely forested region around the lake has thrilling trails that lead up to higher grounds.One can hire a colourful boat called doonga and sail through the lake for a relaxing ride or visit Barahi Temple situated on the island located in the lake. One can also fish in the lake but be sure that you are fishing at the right place. The water is so clear that you can also see the reflection of Mount Machhapuchhre and Annapurna range. So, don t just read this, pack up your luggage and be there to exploit the natural beauty. Day 04- Pokhara- Drive to Chitwan
After Breakfast Check out from Hotel Drive to Chitwan, it is a long journey through the road while the natural beauty along the journey is breath-taking. Upon arrive Lunch at Chitwan & Transfer Check-in to Hotel. Evening Enjoy Tharu Cultural Dance Show. Dinner and Overnight at Hotel
Day 05- Chitwan – Fly to Kathmandu and Drive to Nagarkot
At Morning after breakfast jungle safari on elephant back, jungle walk, canoe ride, jeep drive & Village Walk, Bird Watching etc. the time of these jungle activities will be managed by the Guide. Lunch at hotel and Fly to Kathmandu arrive Kathmandu and Drive to Nagarkot Visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square. After sightseeing check into hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay at Hotel
Day 06- Chitwan – Nagarkot drive to Kathmandu Airport
After breakfast check out form hotel and proceed to Airport to catch your flight to home. It’s time to say good bye to all new friends you have made and take back warm memories of your trip.
