Day 1: Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO) – Arusha
We will pick you up at Kilimanjaro Airport and take you to the hotel in Arusha. From your first accommodation you can explore the paradisiacal surroundings or relax in the lodge.
Impala Hotel or similar – Standard Room (Bed and Breakfast) for 1 night.
Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National park
Today you will head to Tarangire National Park, which is famous for its large number of elephants. The name of the park originates from the Tarangire river that crosses through the park, being the only source of water for wild animals during dry seasons. With hills, savannas and swampland, the national park has a varied landscape and the huge baobab trees are impressive and it is containing the highest number of breeding bird species of any habitat in the world. The game drive will start in the early afternoon.
Tarangire Simba Lodge or similar – Standard Room (Full Board) for 1 night
Day 3: Tarangire – Manyara, Game Drive
Today the safari leads to Lake Manyara National Park. You will leave your lodge at Tarangire and drive through the southern park entrance to Lake Manyara. At the hot springs there are different bird species and also buffalos, sometimes lions. Giraffes, zebras and elephants are in large numbers in Manyara and offer unique wildlife scenes. In the afternoon you reach the Hippo Pool – a waterhole – with water birds such as the African Jacana, various species of herons and the rare Purple Swamphen. Flamingos and Pelicans show on the horizon before you leave the park and drive to the lodge.

Day 4: Ngorongoro, Game Drive – Karatu
The lush highland forest of the crater rim impresses with its thick mossy tree trunks. Imposing buffalos and warthogs regularly cross the forest and graze on open grasslands. After breakfast at the lodge you drive to the crater floor. At first sight you can see some zebras and antelopes, but also hyenas, foxes and lions. In the center of the crater is Lake Magadi, a popular picnic spot with gigantic views. Numerous hippos spend the day in the lake, at night you hike up to 10 km to graze. Big elephant bulls like to stay in the Lerai Forest or the Gorigor Swamp. The diversity of the animal world will inspire you.

Day 5: Karatu – Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO)
After breakfast you will depart from the hotel and drive to Arusha. You can stop for a Coffee or some souvenirs. Depends on your departure time our driver will drop you off the Kilimanjaro Airport.
